Tarzana Sings! Youth Choir
The Tarzana Sings Youth Choir, affiliated with Nueva Vision Community School, is a music program whose goal is to provide high-quality music education and instruction to students of all ages who wish to participate in a choir. We provide performance and ensemble participation experiences for all, because everyone has a voice - everyone can sing! In this choir, students will have the opportunity to work on an array of skills. They will improve their musicianship and active listening skills, and will also gain many non-musical skills; being part of an ensemble requires each member to exercise their skills in teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. We aim to provide a low cost opportunity for your children to grow and sharpen these skills in a safe, fun, and friendly environment, while developing an appreciation for music of many styles and their inherent ability to sing.
This is a new program set to begin in Fall of 2018.
If you are interested, please fill out this interest form to join us. Let's sing!
Note: we are working to create choir groups for older singers as well! If your child is in 6-12th grade, and is interested, please reach out to us so we can begin building a choir of a reasonable size for that age group. Thank you!
The Tarzana Youth Choir is under the direction of pianist Sophia Cho and saxophonist Andrew Shousha, who are both avid educators and performers in the San Fernando Valley.
