Adrian Boluarte
Program Manager
Adrian has been a valuable member of NVCS since 2012, having taken on crucial leadership roles in the school's educational programming, operations, and development. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed significantly to the design and supervision of our multiple music programs and partnerships with New Economics For Women Family Source Centers and the Los Angeles City Housing & Community Investment Department, the Salvation Army, and the Refugee Children Center.
Adrian has also worked as a teaching artist with the Youth Development through the Arts for Intervention and Focused Prevention project in partnership with the Los Angeles County Probation Department and the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. He also worked as Program Manager for the Hollywood Youth Orchestra at the Harmony Project and currently teaches with Young Musician's Foundation. In addition, Adrian has also been instrumental in creating and implementing our guitar curriculum and lesson plans, and has hired and trained many of our current teaching artists. As an educator, Adrian aims to instill in his students values that extend beyond music and guitar techniques, such as discipline, self-esteem, responsibility, and integrity. Adrian's dedication to holistic education has helped shape our pedagogical approach, and his students consistently show impressive progress in their musical and personal development. Furthermore, Adrian's career encompasses work as composer, songwriter, guitarist and audio engineer. As a composer, Adrian's original music and songs have been placed on films and shows that continue to air worldwide. He has also gained valuable experience working for television composer Guy Moon (The Fairly Odd Parents) where he learned a great deal about scoring and music technology. Adrian graduated with honors at California State University, Northridge, where he obtained his Bachelor of Music in Commercial and Media Composition. Adrian's dedication to our community outreach initiatives has helped us extend our mission to empower and inspire the next generation of artists beyond the walls of our institution. His hard work and dedication have been instrumental in our success, and we are proud to have him on our team. |
