Piano Teacher
Marisa Lifquist is currently a student at California State University, Northridge, pursuing her bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. She is currently the president of the CSUN Piano Club, which works in conjunction with faculty to bring in guest artists for performances, masterclasses, and lectures to provide learning opportunities for musicians of the CSUN community. She also has been the recipient of multiple CSUN music department scholarships for several years, including most recently the Colburn Classical Music Scholarship and the Samuel John Swartz Memorial Scholarship in 2021. She additionally is an active performer, and has performed frequently not only with CSUN ensembles but also with groups including the Synesthesia Sinfonietta and the Long Beach Studio Orchestra. Outside of school Marisa enjoys teaching piano and can teach students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. She hopes that with every student she can not only teach them how to play piano, but instill a lifelong love and appreciation for all kinds of music. |
